For those who didn’t know I’m expecting my first baby! And since becoming pregnant I did realise there is a lot of different opinions as to what skin treatments are safe and whats not safe during pregnancy.
So I thought I would write a list of my favourite safe skin and lash treatments to have done while pregnant.
Can you have LED Light Therapy while pregnant?
Is Derma-planing safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women?
This skin treatment is a great option for mild skin exfoliation available for pregnant or breastfeeding women, it doesn’t require any harsh chemical components and can be combines with Led Light Therapy and a mask to hydrate, rejuvenate and achieve overall glowing skin!
Are skincare acids safe to use during pregnancy?
Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) and Beta Hydroxy Acids (BHAs) are a bit trickier to navigate during pregnancy. Salicylic is a BHA, so best to avoid it. Glycolic Acid, which is an AHA, is considered safe to use in lower concentrations, but you can always use a product containing lactic acid instead. Lactic acid, another AHA, will help refine the pores and generally do the same thing that glycolic acid does, but at a lower strength and with less irritation.
LVL Lash Lift while pregnant?
Pregnancy and breastfeeding can effect the end result of a lashlift because of the additional hormones produced by the body and the changes that the bodies hair goes through during these times
We have performed lifts on a good amount of both expecting and Breastfeeding mothers including myself for years and most times the lift works perfectly with only a very small percentage only experiencing less of a lift than usual.
Other than this lash lifts are safe while both pregnant and breast feeding
